Job summary

Rebellion Group in the UK is seeking a Senior Animation Programmer to join our Engine Animation Team. You will work across multiple projects, connecting animators, technical animators, and engineers to drive seamless in-house animation on our Asura engine.

Based at our Oxford or Warwick studios, you’ll implement animation code, develop tools, and collaborate with content creators. The role includes a relocation package and a supportive, creative environment.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of real-time animation system architecture and internals.
• High proficiency in C++ with experience in complex systems.
• Confident using IDEs, debugging tools, and profiling techniques to diagnose and resolve issues.
• Experience designing and implementing Finite State Machines and related animation control systems.
• Good working knowledge of 3D mathematics and geometry.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement animation code for the in-house engine.
• Maintain and develop features within animation systems and content creation tools.
• Collaborate with content creators to write tools and features.
• Develop and implement animation code for projects, building large, tested classes and systems.
• Fix complex bugs in both familiar and unfamiliar code.
• Create, review and update technical and user documentation.
• Support other team members or programmers from other disciplines.
