Job summary

Rebellion is seeking a Senior Animation Programmer to join the Engine Animation Team at our Oxford or Warwick studios. You will implement and enhance animation systems within our proprietary Asura engine, collaborating with animators and project engineers to deliver high-quality gameplay feel.

The role requires strong C++ expertise, experience with real-time animation, FSM design, and 3D math. A relocation package and full support are provided for a smooth transition to the UK studios.

Qualifications

• Solid understanding of real-time animation systems architecture and internal workings.
• High proficiency in C++ for complex systems.
• Experience using IDEs, debugging tools and profiling techniques.
• Experience designing and implementing Finite State Machines and animation control systems.
• Good knowledge of 3D mathematics and geometry.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement animation code for the in-house engine.
• Maintain and develop features within animation systems and content tools.
• Collaborate with content creators to implement tools and features.
• Develop and test animation code with large, complex classes and functionalities.
• Fix complex bugs in both familiar and unfamiliar code.
• Create and update technical and user documentation.
• Support team members across disciplines where appropriate.
