Job summary

McLarens in Chelmsford/Glasgow is seeking a Real Estate Senior Account Handler - Casualty to join the Real Estate Team on a hybrid basis. You will desk-handle UK and European Casualty Real Estate Claims (Public Liability – injury and third-party property damage) and act as a technical referral point.

The role requires at least 5 years’ experience managing a cradle-to-grave casualty claims caseload, with strong client liaison, billing, reporting, and data integrity responsibilities, plus the

Qualifications

• At least 5 years’ experience handling Casualty Claims (Public Liability – injury and third-party property damage).
• Experience with UK claims and familiarity with low value claims portal protocols.
• Desirable knowledge of Real Estate or European claims.
• Ability to produce reports and formal client advice.
• Strong attention to detail and drive to progress technically.

Responsibilities

• Desktop technical handling of UK and European Real Estate Casualty Claims.
• Act as technical referral point when needed.
• Manage multiple accounts and participate in client meetings and training.
• Communicate via email, phone, and video calls to progress claims and resolve queries.
• Control file lifecycle, diary management, and proactive handling.
• Liaise with insureds, insurers, brokers and stakeholders for optimal service.
• Coordinate with UK/European Casualty Adjusters and Account Management Teams.
• Time reporting and billing in line with internal standards.
• Data capture and MI production for clients and internal use.
• Ensure compliance with data protection and information security policies.
• Handle invoicing and account management, meet SLA targets.
