Job summary

Lawes Consulting Group Ltd in Glasgow is seeking a Claims Handler with knowledge of Casualty Claims to manage a portfolio of up to 300 claims, including Employer’s Liability, Public Liability and Product Liability. Property claims experience will also be considered.

You will work with policyholders, brokers, loss adjusters and panel solicitors, with excellent training to set you up for success from day one.

Qualifications

• Experience in claims handling, preferably casualty (EL/PL) or property.
• Strong analytical ability to evaluate liability and quantum.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with brokers and policyholders.

Responsibilities

• Assess simple and complex claims, evaluating liability and quantum.
• Identify complaints and customer dissatisfaction, escalate as needed.
• Negotiate settlements while maintaining high levels of customer care.
• Engage with stakeholders to ensure thorough investigation following guidelines.
• Attend review meetings with brokers, solicitors, and external parties.
