Job summary

Risk & Policy Analysts Ltd is seeking a Senior Regulatory Consultant / Technical Leader in the Chemicals (REACH) practice. Based in Norwich, London or UK flexible, you will lead complex regulatory projects and advise clients on REACH Authorisation, Restriction and broader regulatory strategy.

The role focuses on delivering analyses, regulatory strategies, and market access guidance for EU/UK clients, with emphasis on delivering robust evidence to support regulatory outcomes.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in chemicals regulation or regulatory consultancy.
• Strong understanding of EU and UK REACH frameworks.
• Experience supporting Authorisation or Restriction related work.
• Experience delivering Analysis of Alternatives and/or Socio Economic Analysis.
• Excellent written English and report drafting skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead or contribute to projects supporting REACH Authorisation and Restriction processes.
• Deliver high quality Analysis of Alternatives and Socio Economic Analysis.
• Assess technical and economic feasibility of alternative substances and technologies.
• Support the development of regulatory strategies and market access advice for industry clients.
• Analyse complex qualitative and quantitative datasets.
• Draft clear, regulator-ready technical reports.
• Present findings to clients and stakeholders with confidence.
• Manage significant technical workstreams within consultancy projects.
• Drive and contribute to proposal development and business development activities.
• Engage with industry clients, trade associations and regulatory stakeholders.
• Support mentoring and development of colleagues within the team.
• Contribute to knowledge sharing and regulatory capability development in Chemicals practice.
• Bring commercial awareness to proposals and projects.
