Job summary

Gold Group is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to support a major rail infrastructure programme in Milton Keynes. You will manage commercial and quantity surveying activities on a complex project, working with clients and project teams to control costs and contractual performance.

This role requires rail sector experience, strong cost management, forecasting, valuations, and change control, plus the ability to attend site three days per week.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering rail infrastructure projects.
• Strong cost management, forecasting and change control skills.
• Knowledge of construction contracts and commercial risk management.
• Experience working with multiple stakeholders and reporting.
• Client-facing experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage commercial and quantity surveying activities on a complex rail project.
• Support cost management, forecasting, budgeting and financial reporting.
• Prepare and review valuations, applications for payment and change assessments.
• Manage variations, compensation events and contractual changes.
• Review contractor valuations and cost submissions.
• Support procurement activities and subcontractor cost assessments.
• Identify commercial risks and provide reporting and recommendations.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, contractors and client representatives.
