Job summary

RTS Infrastructure Services Limited, based in Leeds, is seeking an experienced Senior Project Planner to lead the development and control of rail infrastructure programmes from mobilisation to close-out. You will work with project, construction, engineering and commercial teams to support planning, reporting and risk management across projects.

Ideal candidates will have significant rail planning experience, advanced Primavera P6/MS Project skills and a full UK driving licence.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in project planning within rail, construction or engineering.
• Advanced knowledge of Primavera P6 and/or MS Project.
• Experience producing and analysing critical path programmes.
• Experience identifying programme risks, opportunities and recovery strategies.
• Strong understanding of project sequencing and multidisciplinary interfaces.

Responsibilities

• Develop, manage and maintain integrated project programmes for rail infrastructure projects.
• Produce baseline, target and update programmes in line with client and project requirements.
• Develop programmes that reflect project scope, construction methodologies and resources.
• Establish and maintain programme logic, milestones and interfaces.
• Monitor progress and ensure programmes reflect delivery status.
• Identify risks, delays, constraints and opportunities early.
• Collaborate with teams to develop mitigation and recovery plans.
• Perform critical path analysis and provide impact assessments.
• Coordinate requirements across engineering disciplines and suppliers.
• Support project controls, change management and reporting.
• Provide planning expertise to support decision-making.
