Job summary

Involve Recruitment is seeking a Senior Planner for rail and civil engineering projects in the UK. You will take ownership of complex programmes, developing and monitoring plans from tender through delivery, and contributing to improvements across the planning function.

You will bring substantial experience with Primavera P6, EVM and project controls, plus strong stakeholder engagement and a collaborative approach to multidisciplinary teams. This role is based on site in the South of the UK.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Planner or Senior Planner within the rail and civil engineering sector.
• Strong working knowledge of Primavera P6.
• Experience monitoring project performance and producing programme updates.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain detailed project programmes using Primavera P6.
• Produce integrated programmes covering design, procurement and construction activities.
• Monitor project progress and update programmes to reflect current performance.
• Identify programme risks, critical path activities and opportunities for improvement.
• Prepare programme reports, including progress updates, look-ahead schedules and earned value analysis.
• Support project teams in developing recovery programmes where required.
• Work closely with Project Managers, Site Managers and commercial teams to ensure programmes accurately reflect project delivery.
• Assist with planning during tender and pre-construction phases.
• Participate in programme review meetings with clients and key stakeholders.
• Promote planning best practice and contribute to continuous improvement across the planning function.
