Job summary

Ford & Stanley Group in Shirebrook seeks a Senior Project Engineer to lead engineering delivery on a major rail project. You will own delivery across the lifecycle and interface between design, production and the customer to ensure compliance and on-spec delivery.

This hands-on, high-visibility role requires rail/rolling stock experience and a proven track record delivering complex projects while coordinating across multi-disciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• Experience in rail or rolling stock engineering.
• Proven ability to own engineering delivery across lifecycle.
• Strong interface skills between design, production and customer.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Own engineering output across projects, ensuring safe, timely, and compliant delivery.
• Act as the central link between design, production and customer teams.
• Manage activities from concept through build, test, validation and delivery.
• Produce and review technical reports and risk assessments.
• Resolve engineering and production issues quickly to maintain momentum.
• Ensure solutions meet regulatory, safety and customer standards.
