Job summary

TWG Consulting Services invites an experienced Senior Planning Manager to Bristol to lead a major rail infrastructure project. You will direct the planning function, mentor a team of planners and collaborate with project leadership to shape delivery strategies.

The role requires a strong background in major infrastructure, rail, or civil engineering projects, with a focus on controls, risk, and commercial awareness. A degree in engineering or related field is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Significant project planning and project controls experience.
• Experience leading or managing planners.
• Strong understanding of programme management, risk and cost.

Responsibilities

• Lead the planning function on a major rail infrastructure project.
• Provide strategic planning oversight across CP7 framework.
• Manage and develop a team of planners.
• Develop and maintain detailed pre-construction and construction programmes.
• Monitor progress against baselines and report to senior stakeholders.
• Identify critical path issues and develop mitigation strategies.
• Drive planning standards and continuous improvement.
