Job summary

Arup is seeking an MEP Project Lead Engineer to shape and deliver major rail and transport projects globally. You will lead technical delivery, support multidisciplinary teams and contribute to value creation for clients and communities.

As a Chartered Mechanical or Electrical Engineer with rail expertise, you will drive design integrity, coordinate sub-consultants and ensure compliance with major standards. This is a visible leadership role within a growing sector.

Qualifications

• Chartered Mechanical or Electrical Engineer with strong multidisciplinary MEP design knowledge.
• Proven experience delivering transport or rail projects in a consultancy.
• Understanding of major rail standards and MEP design delivery requirements.
• Strong leadership, communication and client-facing skills.
• Experience leading engineering teams through design and construction with clients and contractors.

Responsibilities

• Lead multidisciplinary design teams from project inception through to completion.
• Oversee MEP design production, assurance and compliance with rail standards.
• Act as Electrical Technical Advisor where required.
• Manage design programmes and resources with project planners and discipline leads.
• Support bids and business development for rail sector.
• Maintain awareness of legislation, regulations and industry best practice.
• Foster an inclusive, collaborative culture across Arup.
