Senior Rail Infrastructure Project Manager – MEP & Design

Job summary

The Anthro joint venture between Egis and VVB Engineering is delivering the Old Oak Common HS2 gateway station project in London. The Project Manager will lead Electrical, Mechanical, Public Health, Fire, Telecoms and BEMs design work across area packages, coordinating design teams and stakeholders to meet safety, schedule and budget targets.

Experience in large infrastructure or rail environments, strong NEC3 knowledge, and a proven track record in complex project delivery are essential.

Qualifications

• Rail, complex infrastructure or systems experience is essential.
• Significant experience in project management with multi-disciplinary delivery.
• Proven leadership and line management of project teams.
• Strong NEC3 contract management experience, 3+ years preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• General knowledge of Health, Safety and Environmental Regulations.
• Ability to build collaborative relationships and manage budgets.

Responsibilities

• Take overall responsibility for the delivery of assigned work packages including programme, budget, quality and safety.
• Own KPIs relevant to the work packages; ensure timely submission and clear communication to Senior Management.
• Co-lead multi-disciplinary design teams with the Design Manager to meet objectives.
• Ensure compliance with safety legislation and champion HSE culture; conduct safety tours on site.
• Own stakeholder engagement with Senior Project Manager, Project Director and Engineering Lead.
• Manage governance, reporting and control structures; escalate risks and decisions as needed.
• Secure procurement approvals aligned to the programme.
• Identify interfaces and dependencies with other network activities and projects.
• Oversee budget and change management under NEC3 Option C; manage risks and compensation events.
• Lead and mentor Assistant Project Managers and junior staff.
