Job summary

Expleo is seeking a RAIL Engineering Delivery Manager to provide engineering delivery leadership across programmes and bids. You will direct the Engineering team to meet schedule, budget, safety and quality targets, ensuring compliance with standards.

You'll build high-performing teams, mentor engineers, manage risks and collaborate with stakeholders and product managers to prioritise delivery. Rail industry experience is a MUST.

Qualifications

• Chartered Engineer status, or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee the engineering project(s) from initiation to completion, delivering on time, within scope and budget.
• Define project objectives, requirements and success criteria with stakeholders.
• Develop and maintain project plans, timelines and resource allocation.
• Create a culture around safety, collaboration and efficiency.
• Build and manage high-performing engineering teams and mentor members.
• Set operational objectives and conduct performance evaluations.
• Ensure the programme’s engineering team is competent, mobilised and released in a timely manner.
• Support and strengthen the engineering capabilities across functions.
• Act as the primary contact between engineering teams and stakeholders.
• Collaborate with product/project managers to prioritise deliverables.
• Be visible and influential with the customer to build trust.
• Identify risks and develop mitigation strategies.
• Proactively address challenges that may impact timelines or quality.
• Ensure high-quality standards and QA/testing methodologies.
• Foster continuous improvement within engineering teams.
• Evaluate and implement tools and processes to enhance delivery.
