Job summary

A leading engineering company in Sheffield is seeking experienced Electro-Mechanical Engineers to join their rail team. The role involves the assembly, installation, maintenance, and repair of complex equipment. Candidates should have a Mechanical Engineering qualification and experience in an Electro-Mechanical environment. Additional skills in AC & DC motors and HVAC systems are preferred. The position may require travel for specific site work in the UK and overseas.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in an Electro-Mechanical environment, ideally within rail.
• Ability to travel for site work both in the UK and overseas.
• Experience using industry equipment safely during the repair process.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and disassemble rotating machines.
• Produce job reports and inspection check sheets.
• Ensure exceptional levels of customer care.

Skills

Inspection and disassembly of rotating machines

Understanding of electrical and mechanical drawings

Basic electrical testing skills

Excellent customer care

Knowledge of AC & DC motors

Knowledge of traction motors and HVAC systems

Education

Qualification in Mechanical Engineering (C&G or NVQ equivalent)
