Job summary

Arcadis is seeking a Senior E&P Design Engineer to lead complex rail projects across the UK, including major electrification schemes and station renewals. You will guide designers, checkers and CRE activities, ensuring safety, quality and on-time delivery.

The role demands strong communication, leadership and stakeholder management, with a track record of delivering major rail M&E schemes and renewals across networks.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Power Engineering or related discipline.
• Chartered membership of a relevant professional institution desirable.
• Significant experience in UK rail projects and GRIP processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage multi-disciplinary rail engineering projects, ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and to safety and quality standards.
• Provide effective leadership and technical guidance to project teams, promoting collaboration.
• Build strong relationships with clients and stakeholders, ensuring their needs are understood and exceeded.
• Develop and maintain project programmes, financial controls, and reporting systems to drive improvement.
• Oversee resource allocation, supplier selection, and performance management to optimise project outcomes.
• Champion health, safety, and risk management throughout the project lifecycle.
• Foster team development through mentorship and support.
