Job summary

Carrington West is recruiting for a Senior Project Engineer on behalf of a client delivering major railway infrastructure around Old Oak Common in West London. The role requires Chartered Civil Engineer status and experience coordinating complex construction activities and interfaces across rail, utilities and highways.

Permanent, full-time position based in London with a hybrid pattern (3 days in the office). Salary £71,121.60–£92,040 per annum, including 20% salary flexibility.

Qualifications

• Chartered Civil Engineer status.
• Experience with Network Rail and railway infrastructure.
• Significant experience delivering major civil/railway projects.
• Strong technical background in construction delivery, design and site assurance.
• Experience coordinating multidisciplinary activities and managing interfaces between contractors, designers and project teams.
• Ability to review technical information and ensure compliance with specifications.
• Experience overseeing construction activities and resolving technical challenges.
• Strong understanding of engineering assurance and construction quality.
• Ability to understand wider programme and provide practical engineering solutions.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management.

Responsibilities

• Oversee construction activities and ensure works align with designs and specifications.
• Identify gaps between design and delivery and implement practical solutions.
• Coordinate engineering interfaces across multiple work packages and contractors.
• Provide engineering coordination across disciplines and ensure technical compliance.
• Engage with stakeholders to maintain progress and address issues promptly.
