Circle Health Group's The Clementine Churchill Hospital in Harrow is seeking a Senior Radiographer to join the Imaging department on a 15-hour-per-week basis, with a permanent contract. The role focuses on mammography and high-quality diagnostic imaging, with emphasis on safety and patient care.

HCPC registered radiographers with a degree or diploma in Diagnostic Radiography and mammography experience are invited to apply; cannulation and RIS/PACS familiarity are advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Operate Imaging Department equipment safely and efficiently to deliver high-quality imaging.
• Perform mammography and general radiographic procedures as appropriate.
• Assess patient needs and determine suitable radiographic techniques.
• Minimise radiation dose while maintaining diagnostic image quality.
• Adhere to Radiation Safety policies and Local Rules.
• Participate in training, supervision and peer review within area of competence.
• Manage imaging billing and comply with department guidelines.

Senior Radiographer – Mammography

The Clementine Churchill Hospital – Harrow – 15 Hours & Permanent – Salary: Up to £55,000.00 FTE per year (depending on level of experience, training and qualification)

We have an opportunity for a Senior Radiographer to join our Imaging department team.

This is a part‑time role of 15 hours a week with a flexible shift pattern.

Duties of this role

• Actively participate in the efficient and safe operation of the Imaging Department, providing a consistent, high‑quality service to all patients and visitors.
• Carry out general and specialised radiographic procedures within your scope of competence to high technical and quality standards, assessing patients and interpreting clinical requirements to determine appropriate radiographic techniques.
• Undertake imaging examinations in line with departmental procedures and policies, using techniques that minimise radiation dose to patient and staff while producing high‑quality diagnostic images.
• Practice good radiation protection and safety and observe Local Rules and Systems of Work.
• Comply with departmental IRMER and Radiation Safety policies and procedures.
• Participate in supervision, training and peer review within your area of competence/expertise.
• Charge for all Imaging services in line with Charging Guidelines and fulfil all charging/billing requirements of the hospital.
• Comply with imaging department Radiation Policies, SOPs & WIs.
• Complete all relevant mandatory training.

Applicants should meet the following criteria

• Previous experience within the acute healthcare sector.
• Experience of customer care, including interacting with challenging customers and situations.
• Extensive knowledge and experience in Mammography (essential).
• Capability to undertake I.V. contrast injections.
• A Degree or Diploma in Diagnostic Radiography.
• HCPC registration.
• A general radiographic background/training.
• Familiarity with IT systems such as RIS/PACS.
• Knowledge of the healthcare service sector and the systems and processes used.
• Aware of the College of Radiographers and HCPC Code of Conduct / Accountability.
• Knowledge of Radiation Regulations.
• Successful completion of an approved Cannulation course.
• Successful completion of the Circle Health Group PGD training and compliance with the associated PGD.
