Job summary

Circle Health Group in Croydon invites applications for a Senior Radiographer. The role is 37.5 hours per week on a permanent basis, with shifts that flex to cover the imaging department. Salary is up to £47,000 annually depending on experience and qualifications.

You will perform general and specialised radiographic procedures, adhere to radiation safety policies, and participate in training and peer review to maintain high standards.

Qualifications

• Experience in acute healthcare settings.
• Competent in IV contrast injections.
• HCPC-registered radiographer with a radiography background.
• Qualified in Diagnostic Radiology with MRI/CT knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Operate imaging equipment to deliver high-quality radiographs.
• Minimise radiation dose while ensuring diagnostic quality.
• Follow IRMER and Radiation Safety Policies.
• Participate in supervision, training and peer review.

Salary: Up to £47,000.00 per year (depending on level of experience, training and qualification)

We have an opportunity for a Senior Radiographer to join their team of staff in the Imaging department.

This is a full time role for 37.5 hours a week. The role holder will be required to cover a flexible shift pattern.

Duties of this role include:

• You actively participate in the efficient and safe operation of the Imaging Department, providing a consistent, high-quality service to all patients and visitors.
• You carry out general and specialised radiographic procedures within your scope of competence as agreed with the Clinical Services Manager - Imaging / Clinical Lead to high technical and quality standards, assessing patients & interpreting clinical requirements to determine appropriate radiographic techniques.
• You undertake imaging examinations in line with department operational procedures and policies, using techniques that produce the lowest radiation dose to the patient and staff whilst producing high quality, diagnostic images.
• You practice good radiation, protection and safety and observe Local Rules and Systems of Work.
• You comply with departmental IRMER and Radiation Safety Policies & Procedures.
• You participate in supervision, training and peer review within your area of competence / expertise.

Applicants should meet the following criteria:

• Previous experience working within the acute healthcare sector.
• Experience of customer care, including interacting with challenging customers and situations.
• Can undertake I.V. contrast injections.
• A Degree or Diploma in Diagnostic Radiologyig?
• Healthcare Professionals Council (HCPC) registration.
• A general radiographic background / training.
• Competent in MRI and CT
