Job summary

Wrightington, Wigan and Leigh Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Band 6 Diagnostic Radiographer to join a busy, supportive radiology team. The post covers 37.5 hours weekly with rotations across sites and on-call duties to support patient care.

Qualifications

• Have high visual skills for imaging interpretation and maintain image quality.
• Be able to perform radiography across modalities in line with department protocols.
• Participate in on-call rotations and maintain radiation safety standards.
• Demonstrate professional communication and teamwork in a busy radiology service.

Responsibilities

• Rotation into other imaging modalities as required.
• Quality assurance and adherence to IRMER/IRR2017 guidance.
• Manage workload, ensure proper staff–patient ratios, and support cross-site coverage.
• Provide clinical support and participate in day-to-day radiology operations.
