Job Summary

Support the clinical and administrative teams at the Thornbury Gamma Knife Radiosurgery Centre, ensuring timely delivery of stereotactic treatments to NHS, private and self‑paying patients. Once sufficient experience is gained, act as clinical lead as required.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with the day‑to‑day organisation, quality assurance and operation of the treatment unit.
  • Supervise junior radiographers, bank staff and support staff; deputise for the Lead Radiographer when absent.
  • Collate referral data, imaging and patient information prior to treatment and coordinate treatment scheduling.
  • Perform daily, weekly and monthly QA procedures; identify, record and report faults and manage their resolution.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and ensure adherence to professional and regulatory standards.
  • Participate in shift sessions, clinical governance, audit and research activities.
  • Provide administrative support such as patient swabbing, hotel bookings and appointment rescheduling.
Person Specification
Qualifications (Essential)
  • Proven professional qualifications in radiation therapy (degree).
  • HSPC Registration Certificate.
Desirable
  • Gamma Knife experience.
  • 2–3 years of general radiotherapy experience.
  • Knowledge of MS Office.

Additional Information

Applicants must have current UK professional registration and a DBS check. The role is permanent full‑time, flexible working, based in Queen Square, London (WC1N 3BG). Pay depends on experience.
