Chenies Mews Imaging Centre (WC1E 6HX) is a specialist private diagnostic imaging centre, offering advanced cardiac MRI to both private and NHS patients using Siemens 3T Prisma and 1.5T Aera scanners. Our cardiac service serves a large number of prominent cardiologists and includes congenital imaging, as well as imaging for patients with implanted cardiac devices. The centre also offers a wide range of other MR imaging, including Neuro, MSK, Abdominal, fetal, and MR imaging for several clinical research studies.
We're looking for an enthusiastic and personable radiographer who is able to use their initiative to support the provision of high quality imaging and personalised care.
You will be an HCPC registered diagnostic radiographer with at least 18 months recent experience as a radiographer working within cross sectional imaging. Applications from radiographers with previous MRI and cardiac MRI experience are highly desirable, but training can be provided on site to the right candidate.
You will be willing to actively participate in the organisation's successful governance programme, contributing to the maintenance of our recognition under the Quality Standard for Imaging quality mark, and supporting our compliance with CQC regulations. You will have excellent communication skills and be able to collaborate with various professions to contribute to the multi-disciplinary team that makes CMIC such an interesting, rewarding and efficient unit. A commitment to ongoing professional development and a desire to keep up to date with the latest developments in radiology and imaging is expected.
Our radiographers work a 35 hour week (Monday to Friday) with a mixture of early and late duties to cover the 8 hour scanning day. (We are unable to consider applications from candidates interested in long day working). There is no on call commitment, although the company occasionally offers paid overtime for waiting list initiatives when required (these are on a voluntary basis).
CMIC is owned and operated by QS Enterprises Ltd, a trading subsidiary of the UCLH Charity. Our mission is to support the UCLH NHS Foundation Trust through the provision of additional scanning capacity, and financial support though the annual gift aid donation of all operating profits. Since our inception in 1985, we have donated nearly £40m to the UCLH Charity for the benefit of NHS services.
