Job summary

SAVA is hiring a Senior R&D Mechanical Engineer to own experimental and analytical work for wearable sensor development. You will set experimental strategy, select test equipment, and transform data into engineering decisions that steer product direction.

You will mentor others, lead desk- and lab-based activities, and collaborate with Biomaterials, Data Science, and Clinical teams to drive progress and deliver real-world device performance.

Qualifications

• Master's or PhD in mechanical engineering or closely related field.
• 6+ years of hands-on experimental R&D, including time in a relevant industry.
• Track record of leading technical workstreams from open questions to clear outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Own major workstreams feeding into product development, including testing of materials and modeling of device interactions.
• Lead root cause analyses and implement engineering solutions.
• Define SOPs for experimental methods, statistical analyses and modeling approaches.
