Mott MacDonald Bentley is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to manage cost control on Yorkshire Water projects in the UK. You will lead commercial activities across multidisciplinary teams and ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget and to the required quality.

The role involves early contractor involvement, optioneering, tender negotiations, procurement, and performance management of subcontractors, plus mentoring junior staff.

Qualifications

• Degree in Quantity Surveying or related discipline.
• Experience with NEC contracts.
• Experience leading commercial management of multidisciplinary construction projects.
• Experience mentoring junior commercial staff.

Responsabilités

• Ensuring robust cost management processes, providing accurate reports and analysis to support commercial decision-making.
• Leading procurement activities and supply chain engagement to secure best value and successful project outcomes.
• Managing commercial relationships with subcontractors and suppliers, including tendering, procurement and performance management.
• Working closely with delivery teams to identify, implement and monitor efficiency improvements.
• Actively challenging project teams to drive value for clients and stakeholders.
• Ensuring project teams understand contractual arrangements and commercial obligations.
• Supporting clients to maximise opportunities and mitigate risks.
• Influencing and advising on contractual and commercial matters.
• Building and maintaining strong client relationships.
• Providing guidance, mentoring and support to junior commercial staff.
