Job summary

Mott MacDonald Bentley is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join our Yorkshire Water team, helping to manage costs across a diverse portfolio of water projects from clean water to wastewater schemes. You'll support procurement, subcontractor management and reporting, working with delivery teams to identify efficiencies and protect commercial outcomes.

A degree in Quantity Surveying or related field is preferred; NEC contracts experience is valued.

Qualifications

• Experience in Quantity Surveying.
• Experience and knowledge of NEC contracts.
• Experience supporting the commercial management of construction projects through the full project lifecycle.
• A degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering or a related discipline is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supporting cost management and providing accurate, timely reports, data and analysis.
• Supporting procurement activities and supply chain engagement.
• Supporting the management of subcontractors and suppliers, including tendering and procurement.
• Working closely with delivery teams to identify and implement efficiency improvements.
• Helping clients maximise opportunities and mitigate commercial risks.
• Building and maintaining strong client relationships throughout the project lifecycle.

We’re looking for a Quantity Surveyor to join our Yorkshire Water team, working across a diverse portfolio of projects that make a real difference to customers, communities and the environment. From clean water and wastewater treatment schemes to mains renewals, reservoir safety works, environmental improvements and storm overflow reduction programmes, you’ll have the opportunity to work on varied, meaningful projects.

Mott MacDonald Bentley has worked with Yorkshire Water since 1999 and remains a delivery partner into AMP8. You’ll be involved across the full project lifecycle, from early contractor involvement, optioneering and tender negotiations through design, procurement and construction to commissioning and handover, supporting the commercial management of construction projects throughout delivery.
