Job summary

Danny Sullivan & Sons Ltd in Manchester seeks an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to lead commercial delivery on major water infrastructure projects, ensuring NEC3/NEC4 contracts are managed effectively.

You will take responsibility for CVRs, forecasts, payments, final accounts and cost reporting, while negotiating with clients and subcontractors, mentoring junior team members and coordinating with project managers and site teams. Permanent, on-site role with clear career progression.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor in civil engineering or major infrastructure.
• Strong background in water, wastewater, utilities or heavy civils projects.
• Excellent working knowledge of NEC3/NEC4 contracts.
• Experience managing subcontractor accounts, compensation events, CVRs and final accounts.

Responsibilities

• Take commercial responsibility for civil engineering and water infrastructure projects from inception through to final account.
• Prepare and manage monthly Cost Value Reconciliations (CVRs), forecasts and commercial reports.
• Administer NEC3/NEC4 contracts, including compensation events, early warnings and variations.
• Manage subcontractor procurement, tender evaluations, payments and final accounts.
• Prepare applications for payment and ensure accurate financial reporting.
• Identify and manage commercial risks and opportunities to maximise project profitability.
• Work closely with Project Managers, Site Agents and engineering teams to ensure successful project delivery.
• Lead commercial negotiations with clients and subcontractors.
• Support and mentor junior Quantity Surveyors and commercial team members.
