Job summary

Mace is seeking a Quantity Surveyor/Commercial Manager to support the NEC PM/Commercial Lead on Water Storage Point projects within a fast-paced programme. The role focuses on commercial administration, procurement across 1st and 2nd tier suppliers, and ensuring timely delivery of works.

You will bring a degree or master's in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management, hold or be willing to obtain NEC4 accreditation, and have experience in infrastructure or water sector projects.

Qualifications

• Degree or Master's in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, or similar.
• Professional membership: RICS, CICES, CIArb or equivalent (preferred).
• NEC4 accredited or trained (highly desirable).
• Strong NEC4 PSC commercial management experience.
• Strong background in infrastructure, water sector or major programmes.
• Knowledge of cost management, CE assessment, defined cost and fee mechanisms.
• Experience within consultancy environments.
• Detail‑oriented with strong contractual and analytical skills.
• Proactive, collaborative and able to operate in fast‑paced programme environments.

Responsibilities

• Providing commercial support to the NEC PM/Commercial Lead regarding the administration of potentially 30 to 50 Water Storage Point projects by the end of March 2027.
• Ensuring that all procurement (1st and 2nd tier) and contract administration activities are completed in a timely manner as not to disrupt the delivery of the programmed works.
