Energy Jobline ZR is seeking a skilled Quantity Surveyor to join our Preston team, delivering commercial management for retail, fit-out and refurbishment projects. You will own budgets, cost plans and procurement from tender through final account, working closely with project teams to maximise margins and ensure projects meet commercial objectives.

Qualifications

• Experience managing projects £100k–£2m+ in value.
• Subcontractor procurement and package management experience.
• Valuations, variations, cost reporting, forecasting and final accounts.
• Strong numerical and analytical ability.
• Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
• Ability to manage several projects and competing priorities.
• Autonomy with proactive collaboration with project teams.
• Retail, hospitality or refurbishment sector exposure is a plus.

Responsabilités

• Take ownership of the commercial management of several concurrent fit-out and refurbishment schemes.
• Produce and maintain budgets, cost plans and financial projections.
• Manage subcontractor accounts, including applications, valuations and payment processes.
• Prepare tender enquiries, assess returns and negotiate terms.
• Monitor cash flow and cost-to-complete forecasts.
• Highlight commercial risks and opportunities to improve project performance.
• Provide commercial input into tenders, estimates and pre-construction activities.
