Building Careers UK is recruiting a Senior Quantity Surveyor to lead commercial management on residential developments in the Midlands region. You will oversee budgets, cost forecasts, tendering, and subcontractor management from pre-construction to final account.

The ideal candidate has proven experience in housebuilding, strong negotiation skills, and a qualification in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management; RICS accreditation would be advantageous.

Competenze

• Proven senior QS experience in housebuilding / residential development.
• Strong knowledge of subcontract procurement and supply-chain management.
• Experience managing project budgets, forecasts and cost reports.
• Relevant QS/Commercial Management qualification.
• RICS or equivalent accreditation advantageous.

Mansioni

• Take commercial responsibility for allocated residential developments.
• Manage budgets, cost plans and forecasts.
• Monitor expenditure against budgets.
• Prepare tender packages and analyse quotations.
• Negotiate and place subcontract orders.
• Maintain cost reporting and financial records.
• Mentor junior QS and support commercial staff.
• Ensure procedures and company processes are followed.
