Job summary

Edmond Shipway in Nottingham is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor/Project Manager to lead cost management and project delivery across Private and Public sectors, including healthcare clients. You will manage budgets, contracts, and team collaboration to meet client briefs, timelines, and profitability targets.

Reporting to the Director – Nottingham, you will run project programmes, coordinate internal and external teams, present cost and risk analyses to senior stakeholders, and mentor junior

Qualifications

• Proven experience as Senior Quantity Surveyor/Project Manager with 5+ years post-qualification.
• Relevant degree or professional qualification (e.g., RICS).
• Strong cost management and contract administration knowledge.
• Extensive experience with JCT contracts and multi-project delivery.
• Experience with hotel/leisure sector is advantageous.
• Able to lead projects commercially and operationally from feasibility to completion.

Responsibilities

• Lead quantity surveying and project management for multiple projects.
• Prepare cost estimates and manage budgets from feasibility to completion.
• Advise on procurement options and contract choices.
• Monitor costs, forecast trends and report to clients and teams.
• Provide cost guidance and value engineering advice.
• Review variations, manage contractor payments and sign-off documents.
• Conduct site visits and support the project team.
• Mentor and develop junior team members.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants and contractors for delivery.
