Job summary

MTRP Ltd in Yorkshire is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to take commercial ownership of projects for a regional main contractor. You will oversee procurement, cost reporting and final accounts, working closely with delivery teams to drive results.

This role offers autonomy to manage client and subcontractor relationships, negotiate settlements, and mitigate commercial risk across the Yorkshire workload.

Qualifications

• Senior Quantity Surveyor experience or ready to step up.
• Strong understanding of subcontract procurement and commercial management.
• Excellent client and subcontractor negotiation and communication skills.
• Ability to take ownership of projects from procurement to final account.

Responsibilities

• Take commercial ownership of projects from procurement through to final accounts.
• Manage subcontractor procurement, appointments, valuations and payments.
• Produce cost reports, forecasts and monitor project performance.
• Manage variations, change control and contractual matters.
• Identify and manage commercial risks and opportunities.
• Collaborate with site and operational teams throughout delivery.
• Manage client valuations and commercial reporting.
• Negotiate subcontractor and client final accounts.
• Maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants and the supply chain.
