Job summary

Curve Recruitment is partnering with a respected main contractor to appoint an experienced Quantity Surveyor for the Bury St Edmunds team. The role covers commercial ownership across projects typically ranging from £1m to £6m, with responsibilities from procurement to final account.

You will manage multiple schemes, ensure cost control, and produce CVRs and forecasts while building strong client and subcontractor relationships. Competitive package and car allowance included.

Qualifications

• Strong experience in Quantity Surveying
• Commercial awareness and numerical ability
• Good knowledge of JCT contracts

Responsibilities

• Taking full commercial ownership of multiple live projects
• Managing all commercial aspects from procurement through to final account
• Producing monthly CVRs and forecasting project margins
• Preparing subcontractor enquiries, tender analysis and procurement schedules
• Managing subcontractor valuations, payments and variations
• Monitoring project costs and maintaining cost control
• Producing commercial reports and forecasts
• Identifying commercial risks and opportunities
• Building strong relationships with clients, subcontractors and suppliers
• Ensuring compliance with contractual obligations and company procedures
