Job summary

Severfield in the UK is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to lead commercial and contractual management for Client-facing contracts and multiple subcontract packages at the Sellafield Westlakes site. You will drive cost control, monitor performance, and provide accurate cost/value reporting and cash-flow forecasting.

The role requires NEC3/NEC4 expertise (Options A & C), strong measurement knowledge, and the ability to manage payments and CVR processes within a nuclear/defence context.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in a Quantity Surveying role.
• Experience managing and controlling projects within nuclear and/or defence sectors.
• Strong knowledge of NEC3/NEC4 contracts (Options A & C).
• Familiarity with standard methods of measurement.
• Preferably knowledge of the structural steel industry and its technical requirements.

Responsibilities

• Manage commercial and financial aspects of live contracts and subcontract packages.
• Oversee cost reporting, forecasting and CVR processes.
• Timely and effective change management and agreements.
• Ensure compliance with NEC3/NEC4 (Options A & C) and relevant measurement standards.
• Manage subcontractor payments, variations and compensation events.
• Support project teams with contractual advice and commercial leadership.
• Maintain accurate commercial documentation and audit-ready records.
• Contribute to risk management, cost control and project performance reporting.
