Job summary

Commercial Manager - Drylining & Interiors

£65,000 to £70,000 + £5,000 car allowance

Macclesfield, Cheshire | Full-time, permanent

Take ownership of the commercial side of a specialist contractor, working closely with the team delivering its projects.

Established in 2013, the business delivers drylining, ceilings, partitions and passive fire protection packages for main contractors, local authorities and private clients.

You'll manage projects from pricing through to final account, with responsibility for costs, contracts and protecting margins. It's a role where your decisions will directly influence how jobs are priced and delivered.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Managing budgets, project costs and commercial reporting.
• Handling valuations, variations and final accounts.
• Reviewing contracts and managing commercial risks.
• Overseeing subcontract procurement and accounts.
• Supporting tenders, pricing and cost planning.

You could be an established Commercial Manager or a Senior Quantity Surveyor ready for more responsibility.

Experience in drylining, ceilings, partitions or specialist subcontracting would be particularly relevant. Fit-out or passive fire protection experience would also be useful.

You'll need sound commercial judgement, confidence negotiating with clients and subcontractors, and a practical understanding of what happens on site.
