Job summary

PPM Recruitment is recruiting a Senior Quantity Surveyor for its Northampton operation in the drylining and interiors sector. You will manage commercial delivery from tender through final accounts, collaborating with Directors to maximise profitability.

Ideal candidates will have proven QS experience in construction with drylining/interiors exposure, strong subcontract procurement, valuations, cost reporting and final accounts, plus the ability to lead multiple projects independently and

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor within construction.
• Experience working within drylining, plastering, suspended ceilings, partitions or interior fit-out.
• Strong knowledge of subcontract procurement, valuations, variations, cost reporting and final accounts.
• The ability to manage multiple projects and work independently.
• Excellent commercial awareness, with a focus on cost control and profitability.
• Strong negotiation and client relationship management skills.
• The confidence to liaise directly with Directors, clients and the wider supply chain.

The Opportunity

PPM Recruitment is working with a growing specialist contractor within the drylining and interiors sector to recruit an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor for its Northampton-based operation.

With an established client base and ambitious plans for continued expansion, the business is looking for a commercially astute Senior Quantity Surveyor to take responsibility for the commercial management of projects, working closely with the Directors to maximise profitability and support future growth.

The Role

As Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will manage the commercial aspects of drylining and interiors projects from initial tender and procurement through to valuations, cost control and final account settlement.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Managing the commercial delivery of drylining and interiors projects from start to completion.
