Job summary

Ogilvie Group Ltd invites applications for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our North Scotland team, covering a project in Elgin. You will report to the Commercial Manager and lead cost control, tender review, procurement, and contract administration across the project.

The ideal candidate holds a relevant degree and professional membership, with strong communication skills and the ability to lead a small team. Monday–Friday, with generous holiday entitlement and a company car on offer.

Qualifications

• Degree qualification in an appropriate discipline.
• Membership of a relevant professional institution.
• Good communication skills, written and verbal.
• Ability to work with, support and advise a team.
• Ability to work on own initiative, be assertive and prioritise to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Review tender information including pricing, sub-contractors quotes, preliminaries and contract conditions.
• Prepare budgets/cost forecasts and cash flow reports.
• Advise on contract requirements and manage project risks with the team.
• Lead procurement of sub-contractors and manage payment processes.
• Coordinate and agree main contract interim valuations and final accounts.
