Job summary

Cunningham, a leading construction group in the UK and Europe, is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to lead the commercial delivery on high-profile projects from our Newry base. The role involves reporting to the Commercial Manager, managing subcontract accounts, and ensuring contract profitability across multiple markets.

You will work with Project Managers and Operations to maintain strong client relationships, accurate forecasting, and timely payment applications.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years of QS experience in a contracting environment.
• Commercial and contractual knowledge across forms of contract (Public works Ireland is an advantage).
• Experience with schedule of rates contracts.
• Strong negotiation and dispute resolution abilities.
• People management experience and development of team performance.
• Ability to work in a team and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Responsibilities

• Lead the commercial delivery of contracted work and drive profitability.
• Ensure timely and accurate reporting, including main contract payments and subcontract payments.
• Prepare and maintain commercial reports for the management team.
• Manage subcontract accounts, variations, and final accounts.
• Coordinate with the Project Manager to meet project goals and targets.
• Ensure compliance with contract processes and value recovery.
• Provide commercial training and support to the contract team.
