Job summary

AWI Civitas in Birmingham is seeking experienced Quantity Surveyors to support current and upcoming construction projects across the Midlands. You will manage project costs, contracts and commercial performance, from budgeting and forecasts to valuations, payments and final accounts, working closely with project teams, site and clients.

Ideal candidates will have proven cost-management experience, NEC/JCT contract knowledge, a degree in QS or Commercial Management, and full UK driving licence;

Qualifications

• Experience as a Quantity Surveyor on construction projects.
• Knowledge of NEC and/or JCT contracts.
• Strong commercial and cost-management experience.
• Right to work in the UK.
• Full UK driving licence.
• MRICS and MCIOB memberships are highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Manage the commercial aspects of construction projects.
• Prepare and monitor project budgets and forecasts.
• Manage valuations, applications and payments.
• Prepare and assess variations and changes.
• Manage subcontractor accounts.
• Monitor project costs and financial performance.
• Assist with procurement and tendering.
• Review contractual obligations and commercial risks.
• Prepare commercial reports.
• Support final accounts and project close-out.
• Work closely with project, site and client teams.
