Job summary

Thomas Gray Ltd., a well-established MEP contractor delivering mechanical, electrical and public health solutions across the UK, is seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to take full commercial responsibility for multiple projects valued between 15 and 25 million pounds.

Reporting to the board, you will oversee P&L, cash flow, procurement, valuations and final accounts, while mentoring junior staff and supporting project delivery teams.

Qualifications

• Experience in a senior quantity surveying role with P&L responsibility.
• Experience with M&E contracting environments is preferred but not mandatory.
• Strong commercial acumen and ability to work autonomously.
• Stable career history with progression within employers is essential.

Responsibilities

• Full profit and loss responsibility for projects.
• Manage project cash flow, forecasting and reporting.
• Procurement and commercial management of subcontractors.
• Manage valuations, variations and final accounts.
• Identify and resolve commercial risks.
• Provide clear commercial updates to the board.
• Collaborate with operations and project delivery teams.
• Mentor junior commercial team members.
• Take a proactive, solution-focused approach to project challenges.
