Job summary

Danny Sullivan Group is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to lead commercial delivery on MEICA and water infrastructure projects in Hertfordshire. This on-site role focuses on procurement, subcontractor management and final accounts within NEC contracts.

The ideal candidate will have a strong MEICA background in water/wastewater utilities, with proven cost control, forecasting and risk management capabilities. This permanent role offers a full-time site-based schedule and a competitive package.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor or experienced Quantity Surveyor.
• Background within civil engineering, water, utilities or MEICA.
• Experience commercially managing mechanical and/or electrical packages.
• Strong understanding of NEC contracts.
• Experience managing subcontractors and supply chain.
• HNC/HND or degree in Quantity Surveying or related discipline preferred.
• Experience on water treatment works, wastewater treatment works, MEICA-heavy projects is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Commercial management of MEICA packages and projects.
• Managing subcontractor procurement, tendering and appointments.
• Preparing and managing subcontractor accounts.
• Cost forecasting, reporting and budget management.
• Applications for payment and valuations.
• Managing variations and change control.
• Identifying and managing commercial risks and opportunities.
• Supporting project teams with contractual and commercial matters.
• Working under NEC contracts.
• Managing project costs through delivery to final account.
• Working closely with Project Managers, Engineers and the wider commercial team.
• Ensuring projects deliver against agreed commercial targets.
