Job summary

Project Freelance in Mansfield is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor (Contract) to support a busy bid project through to Christmas. The role involves commercial support on bespoke contracts and non-standard measurement methods, working with the existing commercial team to ensure timely tender submissions.

The ideal candidate will have proven QS experience, strong contractual skills, and the ability to manage cost reporting and risk. Immediate start and office-based in Mansfield are expected.

Senior Quantity Surveyor (Contract)

Mansfield | Outside IR35 | Circa £400/day | Contract until Christmas

A growing multidisciplinary consultancy based in Mansfield is seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to support a key bid project through a busy period up until Christmas.

This opportunity will focus on providing commercial support on a bid involving a bespoke form of contract and non-standard methods of measurement. The successful candidate will work closely with the existing commercial team and play a key role in ensuring the successful delivery of tender submissions and commercial activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide commercial support on a live bid project.
• Review and interpret bespoke contract documentation.
• Prepare cost estimates, valuations and commercial submissions.
• Assist with commercial risk management and contract administration.
• Support tender and bid activities from a commercial perspective.
• Work collaboratively with internal stakeholders to meet project and submission deadlines.

Required Experience

• Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor.

Desirable Experience

• Experience working with non-standard methods of measurement.MRICS qualified or working towards chartership.

• Office-based in Mansfield, therefore candidates should be within reasonable commuting distance.
