Job summary

Highfield Professional Solutions Ltd. is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to support pre-construction and delivery on a major substation project in Peterhead. You will manage subcontract packages valued across groundworks, civils and steelworks, using NEC3 Option A and CEMAR for communications and contracts.

The role emphasizes procurement, administration and commercial management through delivery, with a hybrid work pattern and a 6 month+ contract.

Qualifications

• Senior QS with major civils, utilities or power infra experience.
• Proven subcontract procurement and management expertise.
• Experience with NEC3 contracts, preferably Option A.
• Commercial duties include valuations, change control and forecasting.
• Familiarity with CEMAR is preferred.
• Exposure to substation, HV, groundworks, steel or building envelope is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Procurement and commercial management of major subcontract packages.
• Administer procurement through delivery and commercial processes.
• Utilize NEC3 Option A and CEMAR for communications and contracts.
• Provide cost reporting, forecasts and variance analysis.
