Job summary

Laing O'Rourke in central London is recruiting a permanent Senior Quantity Surveyor to support the Letchmore Heath Substation project in Watford. You will manage commercial aspects for allocated packages, prepare forecasts and programs, and report on financials with NEC contract knowledge.

The role requires experience in power or major infrastructure, a QS or commercial-management degree, and strong stakeholder management.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of NEC contracts and commercial practices.
• Experience on power or major infrastructure projects.
• Degree in quantity surveying or commercial management (RICS preferable).

Responsibilities

• Take commercial responsibility for allocated packages and measure/agree work values.
• Manage interim payment applications and certificates.
• Draft and administer subcontracts through to closure; prepare forecasts and monthly financial reports.
• Handle changes, claims and final-account negotiations; prepare contract reviews and contribute to budgets from award.
• Mentor junior staff and maintain client and subcontractor relationships.
