Job summary

Bilfinger UK are seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor for our Puma project based on Saltend in Hull. The role involves overseeing WIP, forecasts, monthly reports, and compensation events, with strong interface to the client and project team.

Responsibilities include cost control using SAP and Power BI, BOQ remeasurement, subcontract management, and change/valuation processes. The candidate will support CM and project boards and promote margin improvements across major construction works.

Qualifications

• Experience on major construction projects.
• Knowledge of NEC4 Option B contracts.
• Familiarity with Standard Method of Measurement.
• Basic knowledge of P6 programmes.

Responsibilities

• Month End Auto-WIP & Journal returns.
• Coordination of AFC & internal Rolling Forecasts.
• Provision of information for Monthly Reports.
• Review of EW notifications & BUK responses or notifications downstream & upstream.
• Liaising with Client on compensation events, payment allocation queries or disallowed items.
• Cost Analysis via SAP & Power BI.
• Assisting CM on compilation of Project Board Reports.
• Calculation of BOQ star rates.
• Remeasurement of BOQ.
• Update Commercial Registers i.e. CE, EW, Plant, Sales Invoices etc.
• Drafting of notifications including letters.
• Overseeing of Subcontract Management processes.
• Value analysis- SOR, FP, day works.
• Change Management - Notification, Quotation & Agreement of Compensation Events.
• Payment Application & Invoicing.
• Innovation to improve job margin.
• Knowledge of NAECi Agreement.
• Experience on major Construction Projects.
• NEC4 Option B Contracts.
• Standard Method of Measurement.
• Basic knowledge of P6 programmes.
