Job summary

Bilfinger Berger SE is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor for the Puma project in Saltend, Hull. The successful candidate will coordinate project financials, liaise with clients, and manage subcontract processes, ensuring effective cost controls.

Key responsibilities include handling change management and drafting notifications. Candidates should possess in-depth knowledge of NEC4 Option B contracts and experience in major construction projects.

• Ability to perform value analysis and manage change events.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate AFC & internal Rolling Forecasts.
• Liaise with the client on compensation events.
• Assist in the compilation of Project Board Reports.

Bilfinger UK are looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join us on our Puma project based on Saltend in Hull

As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, your activities will include the following, but are not limited to:

• Month End Auto-WIP & Journal returns
• Co-ordination of AFC & internal Rolling Forecasts
• Provision of information for Monthly Reports
• Review of EW notifications & BUK responses or notifications downstream & upstream
• Liaising with Client on compensation events, payment allocation queries or disallowed items
• Assisting CM on compilation of Project Board Reports
• Calculation of BOQ star rates
• Remeasurement of BOQ
• Drafting of notifications including letters
• Overseeing of Subcontract Management processes
• Value analysis– SOR, FP, day works
• Change Management – Notification, Quotation & Agreement of Compensation Events
• Payment Application & Invoicing
• Innovation to improve job margin

Experience Required
