Zusammenfassung

Orton Group is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to support Mechanical & Electrical projects across commercial, industrial, infrastructure and rail environments. You will protect and enhance the business's commercial interests through the full project lifecycle, from pre-contract support and procurement to final account settlement.

The role requires strong NEC contract knowledge, contract administration and proactive risk management.

Qualifikationen

• Proven experience as a QS or Senior QS within M&E or Building Services.
• Strong knowledge of NEC contracts and practical contract administration.
• Detailed understanding of commercial management principles and contract law.
• Experience managing projects from pre-contract through to final account.
• Experience procuring and managing subcontract packages.
• Strong negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
• Excellent financial and commercial reporting capability.
• High level of competence with Excel and reporting systems.
• Rail project experience.
• Experience working in M&E live environments.
• SMSTS qualification.

Aufgaben

• Commercial Management: Manage the commercial performance of multiple M&E projects from contract award through to final account.
• Monitor project costs, budgets, forecasts and profitability.
• Prepare and present monthly cost reports and commercial reviews.
• Ensure projects are delivered in line with commercial objectives and company targets.
• Identify commercial risks and opportunities during the project lifecycle.
• Support Project Managers and Contracts Managers with commercial decision-making.
