Job summary

NG Bailey is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to work on a commercial build project in Reading. You will be responsible for ensuring safety compliance and managing contractual obligations on the project.

Ideal candidates will have experience in Quantity Surveying with an M&E background, and a degree or significant experience. The role offers 25 days holiday, a strong pension scheme, and private healthcare, along with opportunities for personal development.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Quantity Surveyor with an M&E background.
• A degree/HNC level qualification and/or significant experience.
• Good understanding of NEC3/4 contracts is desirable.
• Ability to gain Security Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety messages are visible through all project activities.
• Comply with legal and company policies in line with contracts.
• Manage risks and opportunities, ensuring commercial mitigation.
• Communicate with operational teams on risks and contract terms.
• Prepare and secure applications for payment, with substantiation.
• Monitor and control project progress with the operational team.
