Job summary

NG Bailey is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our team in Glasgow on a permanent basis. You will drive commercial performance on medium to large projects, manage cash flow, and oversee contract matters to maximise value.

The role requires leadership of QS teams, strong procurement involvement, and the ability to secure final accounts with Commercial Manager support. A competitive package includes car/allowance and flexible benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience managing the commercial aspects of medium to large MEP/construction projects.
• English and Maths GCSE or equivalent.
• Relevant BSc/degree or equivalent, or willingness to work towards it.

Responsibilities

• Manage and mentor Quantity Surveyors and Assistant Quantity Surveyors.
• Review and interpret contract terms, identifying risks and opportunities.
• Take charge of cash flow forecasting, payments and receipts.
• Monitor and forecast costs and revenue throughout the project lifecycle.
• Assist in procurement and subcontractor management.
• Provide accurate reports on costs, projections and margins.
