Job summary

Carmichael is recruiting a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join the team working on a major infrastructure project based in Chipping Warden, England.

The successful candidate will work largely independently, and may lead a small commercial team, preparing variation accounts, interim and final valuations, and subcontract settlements.

You will monitor cost against targets, advise on contractual matters, and ensure timely notices and dispute resolutions in line with the project programme.

Qualifications

• Qualified with a Quantity Surveying degree or similar.
• 0
• Enrolled in, or seeking membership of, a relevant professional institution (RICS, CICES or similar).
• Successful experience at Quantity Surveyor level with a positive commercial outcome.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and agree variation accounts – main contract and sub-contracts.
• Monitor cost against targets and contract progress against programmes.
• Prepare interim valuations, final valuations and final accounts.
• Provide contractual advice to management and manage disputes.
