Job summary

Farrans in Oxford is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to support project leaders in delivering high-quality service, managing contract administration and risk, and driving profitability and cash flow across the project. You will work with the Commercial Manager and project teams to ensure contractual compliance and effective variation management.

The role requires a BSc in Quantity Surveying, NEC3/ NEC4 experience, strong negotiation and presentation skills, and proficiency with Microsoft

Qualifications

• NEC3 or NEC4 option C contract experience.
• Strong negotiation and presentation skills.
• Ability to work on own initiative and meet deadlines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Experience in cost reporting and contract administration.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with System sub-contractor and advise on contractual issues.
• Ensure commercial compliance of current contracts and protect company position.
• Report subcontract status to Commercial Manager.
• Assist senior staff in pricing variations beyond mechanical/electrical scope.
• Support monthly project cost reports and progress reports.
• Manage subcontract lifecycles, procurement, tendering, variations and work packages.
