Job summary

Balfour Beatty plc is recruiting Senior Quantity Surveyors in Scotland to join the Beauly, Blackhillock, New Deer and Peterhead 400kV OHL project. Roles can be based in Glasgow, Inverness or Elgin with hybrid working options.

Full-time and part-time applications are welcome. We welcome candidates from diverse sectors with NEC experience not being essential, and see strong progression opportunities within a broad commercial team.

Qualifications

• BSc or MSc in Quantity Surveying, or equivalent experience.
• MRICS/MCIOB/MCInstCES or working towards.
• CSCS Professionally Qualified Person Card.
• Experience managing commercial activities on construction or infrastructure projects.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Managing all commercial aspects of projects and workstreams.
• Preparing commercial reports, forecasts and reconciliations.
• Reviewing contracts, rates, prices, variations and compensation events.
• Monitoring subcontract performance and commercial compliance.
• Supporting claims and commercial submissions.
• Analyzing tender information and developing commercial strategies.
• Supporting customer and stakeholder management across your area.
